The Death of a Sperm Whale

Huge chunks of whale blubber fell everywhere. A parked car over a quarter of a mile from the blast site was the target of one large chunk. The 45 foot whale had been on the beach for three days before the Oregon State Highway Division decided to remove it with dynamite. Ever since then, Oregon has buried any whales that wash ashore.
