How to Do an Awake Central Line
If a patient is coming in from home and they're you know been hemodidamically stable I will consider doing an asleep a line. Do you ever do awake central lines? Typically no Situations where I would consider it or if a patient is extremely unstable or they're in tamponade. And I feel like I need central access before going to sleep also if it is a patient that For example has a media-stinal mass or like I said tamponade will also have the surgeons in the room and potentially place lines in the groin.
