The Medionites and the Ishmaelites?
There are those that have quibbled over this verse and wondered what it said, the medionitesand then it says the ishmaelites. Well, at the end of the day, who really cares? They are minor characters here. From reuben's perspective, what have you done? This is just a child. But was he more concerned for himself as being responsible for all the littler children? Like i said, don't get bogged down in unnecessary detail.
