Heidegger's Concept of the Universal and the Particular
Aristotle develops the distinction between the universal and the particular. He calls the particular, takatekaston, which means the thing according to each. So you're looking at a group of say, things that present themselves as human beings. And the particulars are humans when seen or perceived according to each one. That's how we get to concepts is something like this.
