Einman's philosophy of objectivism has the view that the interests of other people can be an important part of our own interests. A rational person who's concerned with his own life is concerned with it in the long range, over the course of his own life. And so there're definitely rational reasons to care about what are you going to do with your career? What kind of life do you want to make for yourself? a human life is not just the life of an animal living in the moment. i think here we include even wht you have reason to respect the rights of other people that you that you live in the same society with - even if you don't know them.
