The Last Poem in the Grim Wir
Steve and Robin live in post industrial south and west yorkshire. The sea is a dream to us and a myth, but as we'll hear, there are eels in our landscape. Because so much of the eel's life is dark, i essentially had cart blanche to fill in the gaps. And you fill in the gap with imagination.Robin: Can we hear the final poem from your collection? Couldyou introduce it for us? This is the last poem in the grim wir and it's spoken by the shape shifting narrator. I went taking the shape of water, a man, a woman. Then i turned to a starling, mackerel, otter.
