The Puzzle Aspect of Trend Following Models
I like puzzles. I've got a huge collection of what you might call barroom puzzles is metal, metal detanglement puzzles where you have metal pieces that fit together and you gotta figure out how to get them apart and together. It's always been something that I enjoy doing. How can you get something that's mechanical that can make money for nothing without doing any work? How can that be? And so I kind of got attracted to looking at it. The puzzle aspect of what I did in the markets or what I did with the Gavapoli book, it's driven me is I want to understand how it works. Then it works and it makes money. That's great
