The SEC's Rule 605: Transparency in Equity Trading

Rule 605 is a rule that the SEC has had in place for a very long time. It allows people to compare their performance against each other. We're really hoping that it comes with a lot of pictures, lots of color, a bunch of graphs. But a healthy dose of transparency, I think, is what the SEC is after there. The proposal is the title almost a little misleading because it's about much more than tick sizes.
