Andy got a senatorial recommendation to go to the military academy. He was working at a golf, like Catty Shack kind of restaurant in his hometown. The owner pulled him out from the back when senators and congresspeople came in for interviews. "It was just mind boggling that I got that opportunity when other people didn't," he says.
