The Moral Theory of Utilitarianism

The standard method of decision making in health economics at the moment uses what many people believe to be a flawed moral theory. One type of case that has been used in the literature is so-called discrimination against the disabled. So if you were really going to use Qualy's in clinical judgment, people with chronic long-standing health problems would get very little attention.
