The federal government collected the data, but they kept it secret too. The law says that companies have to give their own workers information about injuries at their own work site. A lot of them were scared to ask for the records. An amazon didn't make it easy. They would often ignore the requests. So it was pretty slow going. How many did you ultimately get? Well, we were doing this one by one, warehouse by warehouse, and we eventually got 23 of them. One of the ones with the highest injury rates was in southern california. It hurt so bad.
