Open rates are only helpful as a trend overtime. So watch your open rate decreasing, then that tells you that people are becoming less engaged with your content. I think the other problem is it depends on the rate at which you're adding new subscribers. If you kind of are adding the same number all the time, then your list the percentage of people that are old on your list are going to be much higher than new.
