The Struggles of a Black Female Dancer
Amani was the first black ballerina in 75 years at the Atlanta Ballet. As of last year, they hadn't had a black female dancer since 2018. In high school, Amani did ballet seven days a week for four to six hours a day. She also took up track and won every single meet except for state.
