Nora's Laughter at the Fairy Folks

Nora followed Fiona to the newly scrubbed butter churn, and watched her wedge the coal pieces underneath it. Then she motioned to the floral bow over the doorframe, and that there should keep the fairy folk out of the milking pale as well. Normally, we send some milk over to our neighbour in the morning, but it's bad luck on Beltane. You might find your cow's milk transferred to the neighbour's cow if you do.
