My Righteousness Will Answer for Me
In some ways, this reminds me of abraham and lotjust whichever side he wantsi'll take the good one. But i also love what jacob said one verse earlier, so shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come. I won't owe you anything, laban. I will only owe god. It's going to have to be almost a miracle birth every time that solid colored animals will give birth to speckled ones. The story gets even weirder by the end of the chapter.
