Is Democracy a Good Idea?
I want to see far more power in local communities, as well as power in Westminster being decided democratically. We have the most centralized government in Europe with power concentrating Westminster. Put the power out into the cities and allow the cities to acknowledge that there's a huge cost through that. And who's profiting? Capitalism. Our problem isn't civilisation, it's capitalism. I was just talking in the student tent and people were saying, you know, the problem with doing green things is they're more expensive.
