The Chain of Events That Leads to an Accident

Waymo is trying to remove the first second link in a chain of events that leads to an accident by having those improved margins. In certain conflict types, such as side swipes or being rear-ended, these are two types where they're less prevalent in fatalities. So there's a different distribution or different spread of where the fatalities occur. And that is, to a large extent, in intersections and with pedestrians or VRUs.
