Dostoyevsky read a great deal of dickens. Dickens was extremely popular in russia at the time, and his nove werer translated very, very quickly. As far as i know, there is only one reference to david copperfield in any of dostoevsky's writings. There is mention of mister micawber in a letter of eightnsedenisy, mister micaubos ha ha. Weso i his pain in barbados. If you want to do a thesis on mistermicawber's influence on dostoyevky, the field is all yours.
