The Secret Gardening Method

Laurie took jade over to a section of trees to explain the method. She pointed out all the brambles and thorns that grew up from the ground. Laurie explained that as jade cut closer to the knuckle of the tree, it was a good idea to cut at an angle away from the trunk. This would help guide any rain water away from the tree to the ground to avoid the tree becoming infected. Jade looked forward to becoming more knowledgeable and being able to transfer the scill she learnt here into her own garden in the future.
