She says humans operate with either a soldier mind, sat which is kind of like when we want to defend our beliefs, but ther alternative, scout mine said, were motivated to learn the truth. We're often not really aware that we're doing this, but on some level, we're applying this kind of asymetric standard to the ideas we're considering,. depending on whether we want to accept them or not.
