She says education is a substitute for what you actually learn and can be used as a proxy by central planners who say people just need to sit in a classroom eight hours a day. But if there's another disruptive individual in that classroom, you're not learning anything, she says. And so this is this kind of ratchetism that like state of state has been going on since at least the 1950s with regard to social justice issues.
