God's Ultimate Purpose Is Joy

God's joy in the son did not originate ever. It never had a beginning as if there were a time when the son of god was not his father's delight. If god has not always been a joyful god, then the christian god does not exist. Joy in the fellowship of the trinity is part of what it means to be god.
