As long as you have it with you, people will learn to depend on it in that same way. As soon as they don't have it with them, they'll be lost. And so in that sense, it's going to lower the barrier to entry. I think it will make it easier for people to get more advanced jobs more quickly or do more maybe not more advanced jobs, but do more advanced things more quickly.
