President Trump’s 90-day pause on most new tariffs was either a masterclass in The Art of the Deal or a panic-stricken climbdown, depending who you follow online - and the same camps are divided over Bill Maher, who has variously been described this weekend as a rabid MAGA convert and a sellout dupe for reporting on his dinner with the President.

If the 2028 election turns out to be Obama vs Trump, as Steve Bannon suggested, you can bet that Maher won’t be backing the President… but he’s also figured out that constantly defending the Democrats and smearing Trump isn’t working out very well, either.

As for the tariffs, if MAGA is as divided and furious about the trade war as we’ve been led to believe, nobody told the crowd at UFC in Florida this weekend…
