The German Holocaust Memorial

It took decades to realize this memorially. Initiative came from within the society, from citizens of former west berlin. We have many monuments, but we have no memorial dedicated exclusively to the european dimension of the holocost. It's an abstract work of art made by an american jewish architect, putise man. And it became a place not only to honor the victims, but it is also a place for people to meet, to talk, and also to be silent.
