The Challenge Is Out There

I hope that actually animation goes forward in pushing the envelope and doing things like line drawings or something really visual and fun. Steven Spielberg gave a talk over DreamWorks recently and he was saying I would love to see DreamWorks take on something with a darker, more mature, creepier tone to it. That's something I've been wanting to do forever. But it's always been shied away from because it might be too niche or audiences might reject it. There's room to as long as it's not so off putting that families will avoid it. Because there can be fun spooky as well.
