How Are School Districts Spending COVID Money?
The federal education department's data on how districts have been spending COVID money hadn't been updated since September 2021. The expanded funding is playing a role in sort of the confusion over do we have a teacher shortage and where is it? One of the reasons we're seeing vacancies is that districts have created jobs and haven't been able to fill them.
