The most dangerous year was 1972. It had 55 crashes in total in ninety so more than one a week. This is definitely like an inflection point where everything started. I think safety became like top of mind for everyone. Like we need to fix something otherwise nobody's going to want to do this anymore. We don't ever want to go back. Never again.
