The Problem With Pre-Race Nerves
I'm a follower all the time, even on the road or gravel. On descents, I like to follow and I buffer like I'm like a couple of bike links off. Blaze's main thing was climb with me then shepherd me through the descent. It's not like we're doing weird team tactics. And yes, essentially from mile 20 to mile 40, you are more or less on the equivalent of a really good gravel race.
