Relationship Advice - Is Your Partner Venting About Your Relationship?

I've had a guy friend vent to me about their relationship, and i've also had a significant other that vented to their close girl friend about our relationship. I don't think that bothered me at all, because i was like pretty confident that they were like just really good friends. When you imagine them doing this, are you imagining them just like, slandering you in their venting? Or are they approaching it more like, oh, my, like, this happened. What are your thoughts? Do you have advice or perspective to share?
