The Death of Democracy

In 1930, Heinrich Breening was elected chancellor of Germany. He wanted the government to ban Nazi stormtroopers because he thought it was unreasonable that a fascist political party would be allowed to have a paramilitary army. A general named Kurt Von Schleicher did not like Adolf Hitler and tried to sabotage the ban. The death of democracy explains why there is growing amount of fighting in the streets between the Nazis and social democrats or communists.
