He says if Mearsheimer wants to go back to Chinese tradition, he should go to Shan Yang who's an early legalist thinker and probably develops his ideas in much more like ultra-Macuvellian ways than Mearsheimer or Macuvellia himself would do. But anyway, about Confucianism, what is the view on warfare? It's true that Confucians are not pacifists but they have a fairly developed theory of when it's just to go to war and what are the appropriate means employed in war.
