When you're dating, it's a one way street. I am in a relationship with you. I've stopped dating other people. Speak for yourself. Unfollowing is the answer if you're trying to get away from anyone or try to get over anyone. Most people feel uncomfortable being on a different page than each other. You know, delete of the dating out then just don't say another word.
