The B-17 All-American Flight
The All-American was attacked by two enemy fighters as it approached friendly territory. The pilot decided to stay with the plane and make an emergency landing. But their radio equipment had been damaged in altercations, so they couldn't signal for help. A friend fighter helped interpret hand signals from the crew back to base. They were able to land safely after using all five parachutes.
