The board of new crest mining Australia's largest gold game has accepted a $26.2 billion bid from the North American giant newmont. BHP bought us minerals earlier in the year for about $10 billion. Also this week, though, we had private equity group TPG upping its offer for in-vide care. The other big deal this year, of course, was Brookfield's $18.7 billion take-off for Origin Energy. Then last week, we had the $10.6 billion merger between Liveent and Auckland.
