What Makes Good Leadership?

I think it's important that people are not frightened to tell you when you're wrong. You have to deeply respect the aspirations of the younger scientists in your care. Having regular conversations about where they're going, what they want to achieve is very important. I don't like it when somebody in a leadership role is just in it for themselves and isn't doing anything for the organization.
