There are surprisingly large volumes of specialist talent in some very unexpected places. High caliber engineers can command similar wages regardless of where they live. Less than half of the people we surveyed told us that they were seeking compensation efficiencies as a reason for hiring outside of HQ. The Atlas research also discovered that this is happening within the same country.
