The habit of scepticism or the habit of disconfirmation. Scientists don't go out and try to create evidence for their favorite theories. The enterprise is really an enterprise about disconfirmation, says A joyce earlinger. If an idea can survive an experiment, it probably is a correct and vibrant theory to behold or to have. And if we are in an advantaged situationh now, it's because, o, we've learned that the the name of the game is disconfirmation is not confirmation.
