i wanted to situate the kind of math that i kind of was trained to do, which likes to think about shapes and eat a working n in high dimensions. And so we think of jerryma ring as the abuse of redistricting that happens when you draw crazy looking districts That are rigged to make a particular outcome likely or certain. So i figured that there must be a way to constrain the shape sensibly. How hard could it be to write down what it means to be a good shape and wha it mean to be a bad shape when it comes to political districts?
