The Limitation of the Cross
The question of the notion of a certain future is in some ways part of when we look at, for example, interpretations of the passion of Jesus Christ. There's a real active theological question about how much Jesus knew was going to happen next after the cross. And I would say, no, he knew everything. The openness to an uncertain future is what makes the limitation of the cross such a beautiful reconciling act.
