The history of philosophy podcast is presented by Peter Adamson. This week, we look at three traditions that were largely independent of one another. In the eastern empire, Greek speakers did not get a memo from some headquarters telling them to stop philosophizing. Most of aristotle and nearly all of plato were inaccessible in latin for several centuries. We will reach these byzantine and latin traditions in due course.
