Prison Labor Strike in Alabama

On September 26, a statewide strike started in Alabama. The state's own admission and then also of course confirmed by prisoners that were involved all across the facilities. It is true prison labor is completely unpaid. I'm hearing a little bit of mixed things about what's going on currently but it's hard to overstate how kind of remarkable this is for like 17,000 prisoners to refuse to do their jobs. They cut the meals down from three to two, they give them, you know, all kinds of gross stuff right and so they're trying to break the strike essentially.
