The Fireball Sightings
Astronomers have tried to explain away the sightings as simple stars that appeared to be low in the sky. The police officer who saw the very intense bright light very likely saw a fireball. Some have theorized that the object seen by the policemen of Trumbull County was a top secret craft from the Young Sound Air Reserve Base. However, Captain John Keytak from the base stated that there were no planes or experimental craft flying that night.
