It says wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her. It's specifically placed in Mark 14 immediately before Judas betrays Jesus and essentially the passion begins. A lot of scholars think that an unnamed woman could be a symbol of a woman in general.
