What's It Like Being a Scientist?
When i was a graduate student, it was the best time of my life. It's thrilling to do something that is at the forefront of human knowledge. You make your own hours, and you can travel. As a professor, you know, i could jump on a plane to go to london to morrow if i wanted to. I'm not good in jobs. I cannot be told what to do. And often our papers have a lot of authors, because we have to have expertise in pathology and machine learning. We've built our own computers. But no one in my lap has ever failed in the long run.
