The Debt Ceiling Theatrics

California established a commission to look into the conditions of workers in the fast food industry. The companies that each gave over a million dollars to get this referendum passed are Chipotle, Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, McDonald's, In-N-Out Burger, and Kentucky Fried Chicken. I wouldn't be surprised if these companies spend more to block all of these efforts than it would cost them not to do it or just pay the workers what you should have been paying them all along.
