The Importance of Fine Details in Philosophy
Austin's attention to very fine details of subject matters, often pursued through fine details of language use, are still important when thinking about the kinds of issues that Austin was interested in. Someone isn't misled by two-hasty generalisation, by crude schematic philosophical claims that fail to capture all the detail. So it's something like a method that you value, there's an Austinian approach as there is a socratic approach to debate and conversation on philosophical topics.
