Paleontologist George Simpson wrote a book called The Meaning of Evolution, way back in 1949. In it, he discussed the philosophical implications, as he saw it, of accepting evolutionary theory. Ard has written quite a bit about his skepticism toward using evolution as a worldview. He's adamant that none of that means that human beings are random and have no purpose.
