Chris: I have never written fiction. But i really like the idea of when i was doing this research, or the stuff i literally took, i kept a diary of all the stuff. The diary is like 500 pages, and of all these amazing quotes and thoughts that i do not want to turn into. Basically, it sounds crazy, but basically, a comedy about life, about being on the edge an being an attic in a homeless person. There's a lot of humor that can happen. Definitely mostly at the expense of wealthy people, which is fine, we are good caricatures. So good luck with that. That should be a lot of fun.
In this episode of Infinite Loops, we spoke with Chris Arnade, author of the bestselling book Dignity: Seeking Respect in Backrow America. We discussed:
- Why Chris left Wall Street to document ‘back row America’.
- How Wall Street has changed over the years
- Why Chris’s work triggers certain crowds of people
- The importance of McDonald's to American communities
- The lessons he’s learned from traveling around America’s lower-income communities.
- And more…
