Elixir is a new programming language that was developed in Russia. It's based on the solid principles, which were popularized by Robert Martin. The S in solid is single responsibility principle - there should never be more than one reason for a class to change. Elixir uses Erlang and Golang instead of Ruby or Java as its base language.
